According to new reports, Arsene Wenger, Arsenal's coach since 1996, has rejected a mammoth £30m per year deal to manage in the Chinese super league, even though he isn't sure of his future at Arsenal following fan protests at the Emirates.

Wenger has an £8m-a-year deal with Arsenal that expires this summer, and has signaled that he'll still like to continue coaching but with his future still unclear, many people feel he should have accepted an offer as huge as this from China- which would have made him the highest earning coach in the world.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, yesterday, asked Nigerian youths what would their generation do to make Nigeria a better place. According to him, although his generation had failed Nigerians in some area, it cannot be denied that his generation brought about the Unity of the country. He said this when he spoke at the one day symposium organized by the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA).

"My own generation fought for the unity of Nigeria. You cannot deny that. There are many things we must have done wrong but we fought for the unity of this country.

Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido II, has warned Imams and traditional rulers in Kano State to desist from beating their wives ,otherwise, they would loose their titles. The monarch, who is a strong advocate against domestic violence, said this at a mass wedding organized in the State over the weekend.

"You should all come back to your senses and stop these barbaric [acts] because we will not allow this to continue in Kano. Man-U Defeats Southampton To Win The League Cup Trophy!

Red Devil's forward, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, struck twice including a late headed winner to defeat Southampton 3-2 in a very tough League Cup final at Wembley on Sunday.

The Swede super striker nodded a corner kick past Southhampton's goalkeeper to score his 26th goal of the season in all competitions and secure Jose Mourinho’s first trophy since the Portuguese coach took charge.
