Women in Bokkos LGA of Plateau State, on Wednesday, July 20th, staged a peaceful protest to show their grievances over the gruesome killing of their traditional ruler. Sir Lazarus Agai, the traditional ruler of the Ron/Kulere tribe of Bokkos LGA, was murdered by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Monday, July 18th.
The monarch was ambushed and murdered along with his wife, son and bodyguard on his way back home from a farm at Sha village in Bokkos. The women, clad in black clothes, carried placards through the streets of Bokkos.
