Photos from the protest by Kogi State University students against ASUU Strike.

Kogi State University Students staged a protest at the early hours of today in Lokoja against the three months of industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Kogi State University chapter. The lecturers had earlier embarked on a strike to demand for their 5 months salary arrears. However, after the State Government reportedly met 80 per cent of their demands by paying 4 months of the salary arrears, the Union still insisted on getting it in full. The students took to the streets of Lokoja to protest, demanding for the strike to be called off. More photos after the cut.
