Court to rule on Patience Jonathan $15.5m October 7.

 

A former Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Waripamo Dudafa, yesterday, urged the Federal High Court in Lagos to nullify the guilty plea by four companies linked to Jonathan’s wife, Patience.

The companies, on September 15, pleaded guilty to laundering $15,591,700 (about N5billion) when they were arraigned.

20-year-old man arrested for raping 4 year old in Lagos; Blames the devil (photo).

A 20-year-old man, who lures children into his room with kids cartoon television shows on cable network, and then rapes them, has been arrested by police in Egbeda area of Lagos State. Upon interrogation, he blamed the devil for his act.


The suspect, Bassey Johnson, who hails from Akwa Ibom State, met his waterloo when one of his victims, a four-year-old girl, complained of pains in her private parts to her mother. During interrogation, the toddler mentioned Johnson’s name, consequent upon which her parents invited the police.

Billionaire businessman, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has had to tweet he's alive, hale and hearty in order to squash false rumours that he died, yesterday, in Germany. An online magazine, DW-TV3, reported that Aliko Dangote died in Germany yesterday, Sunday, after a short illness. Dangote is very much alive and currently in South Africa.

"We got into trouble as a country, because we did not save for the rainy day. Lawyer sues Emirates airline after 'enduring' a nine-hour flight seated next to obese passenger.

An Italian lawyer is suing Emirates after he was sat next to an "obese" man on a nine-hour flight in economy class. Giorgio Destro claims his flight from Cape Town to Dubai was ruined by an overweight passenger whose body "spilled" into his seat on the Boeing 777. Destro snapped a selfie that shows him looking unhappy and apparently cramped in seat 29K next to the unidentified man who had the middle seat.

Italian newspaper, Mattino Padova ,reported that, the lawyer said he suffered throughout the flight last July and was told by cabin crew he could not change seats because the flight was fully booked.

3 people dead, 2 injured after gunman opened fire at Washington shopping mall (photos).

At least three people have been killed and two persons gravely wounded Friday when a gunman opened fire at a shopping mall in Washington.The shooter — described as a Hispanic male wearing black — had walked into the Macy's department store and opened fire around 7.30pm local time. He left the scene before police arrived.

Police authorities are currently searching for him and have released a still from video surveillance of the young-looking suspect holding what appears to be a rifle. They believe there is only one shooter and said the motive was unknown.

A twist has occurred in the alleged slush accounts traced to  former First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan. According to her counsels, two of the accounts among the 5 in dispute, belong to Dame's late mother, Madam Charity Fyneface Oba. Mama Peace's counsel, Mr. Charles Ogboli,  also admitted that only three of the five accounts in dispute could be traced to the ex-First Lady and her mum.
At press time, it was gathered that Mrs. Jonathan was in Abuja, where she was strategising on how to win her case.

Nigerian footballer, Victor Emenayo, has had to defend himself after his club accused him of being at least 17 years older than his actual age. Azerbaijan side, Shahdagh Qusar FK, thought they had signed 23-year-old Victor Emenayo this summer, but, after playing his debut, the club accused him of lying and holding a fake passport.

Victor Emenayo claims he hasn’t lied about his age and is 23-years-old. His club believe his passport may be fake. Despite his passport claiming he was born in 1993, the club believes they have been duped and that he is at least 40-years-old – possibly older. But Emenayo has slammed the suggestions saying he is not a cheat.

An Italian artist, Maurizio Cattelan, has created a fully functional 18-carat solid gold toilet for the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and, it is open for public use! The gold toilet is a symbolic work of art aptly named 'America', and it is meant to remind us our excessive love for material wealth.

The unique thing about the toilet is, it is not exclusive for the wealthy, rather, it is the opposite.

South Korea reveals plans to assasinate North Korean tyrant, Kim Jong-Un, using undercover hitmen.

South Korea's defence minister, Han Min-koo, has said his country has a plan to launch a special forces Unit to go to North Korea and kill Supreme leader, Kim Jong-Un, if he decides to attack South Korea with missiles.

According to Han Min-koo, military chiefs are “considering launching a special forces unit to assassinate North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un.”
The operation would be part of ‘Korea Massive Punishment and Retaliation’ plan (KMPR), which was announced after North Korea’s tested it's fifth nuclear warhead earlier this month, Han added during a parliamentary meeting in Seoul on Wednesday.

$15m: Niger Delta group vows to bomb NNPC Towers in Abuja if Patience Jonathan is arrested.

A group, known as The Niger Delta Peoples Professional Volunteer Force (NDPPVF), have released a Statement vowing to bomb the four wings of the NNPC towers in Abuja if former first lady, Patience Jonathan, is arrested over the $15million found in her account.

Spokesman of the group, Parkinson George-Amabo, in the Statement released yesterday, said it is not in support of corruption, but against the manner in which the antigraft agency has carried out its investigation into the foreign currency linked to Mrs Jonathan. ‎The Statement in part reads;
