Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has rewarded 3 Imolites, who won gold medals in the Rio 2016 Paralympic.

Commissioner for Public Safety, Youth and Sports, Rodney Ajaelu, Thursday, Sept. 22, presented the paralympics gold medalists, Roland Ezurike, Nwosu Ndidi and Orji Josephine Precious, to the Governor, who honoured them with a brand new car and one million Naira each.

Okorocha also extended his kind gesture to some of the coaches, including Luke Ibe, also known as 'Miracle coach' who led them to victory. They sang a Happy Birthday song for the Governor and promised to continue to set the pace.

The Governor, while addressing the sportsmen, said,
"The best thing that can happen in Nigeria will come from Imo State as you have made not only the State but the nation proud"
