Apple says initial quantities of iPhone 7 Plus sold out worldwide.

Don't bother queuing for an iPhone 7 Plus. Apple has announced that it has sold out its initial supply of the new devices worldwide! This means Apple fans hoping to get their hands on a new iPhone 7 Plus when they go on sale this Friday could be left disappointed.

Apple says demand for the larger of the new iPhones outstripped the initial supply while the smaller iPhone 7 also sold out in the new jet black colour.

Many of those hoping to purchase a device at an Apple Store later this week will have to place an order online and wait for their devices to arrive. Apple said it was working hard to ensure customers would get their devices as quickly as possible. Those wanting an iPhone 7 would be able to get one in other colours, although numbers of these were ‘limited’.

However, in the UK, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have sold out in all colours and with all capacity sizes.
