Hell hath no fury like a BeyHive scorned!
During the 68th annual Emmy Awards on Sunday night, Beyonce didn't manage to win any of the four Emmys that she was nominated for. And her fans took to social media to vent their frustration.
Tweets of anger, frustration, sorrow, and bewilderment began filling timelines when Beyoncé Knowles Carter and Lemonade collaborator, Kahlil Joseph, lost in the category of Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, to Thomas Kail and Alex Rudzinski for Grease: Live.
“Beyoncé lost. Changes the channel,” one Twitter user wrote. “I truly do not understand how our queen and lord and savior and goddess and supreme ruler did not win,” said another. Many fans posted images of Beyoncé in Lemonade smashing car windows and camera lenses with a baseball bat; others called for contacting the Television Academy to complain.
Lemonade had been nominated for four Emmys in all, including three Creative Arts Emmys, and lost in all categories.
